So Wednesday night I was talking about getting the fridge re-stocked Thursday morning to help move my diet along. Thursday rolled around, and the wife had to go up to Ft Lauderdale for meetings, and the fridge did not get re-stocked the way I had hoped…..so my diet yesterday basically consisted of Protein Shakes with oats, and some more protein shakes with oats.
Needles to say that after living off protein shakes for an entire day, Publix was the first stop on the agenda after dropping my son off at school this morning. We got the fridge stocked with Berries, Spinach, Green Apples and purchased chicken and turkey to prepare. Headed to Brickell for work after the shopping was done, and made sure I ate something before leaving the house, and had a protein shake available should I get hungry before I would get back home.
For breakfast I had Stg Joe’s morning recepie - Eggs with walnuts, and spinach. Had some fruit in-between meals and a couple of protein shakes throughout the day. Dinner was Turkey Patties with Green/String Beans. The plate is a dessert size to help me keep my portions in check. Patties are made with Onion, Garlic, Carrots and a pinch of Sea Salt.
I am finding that getting all my meals in and at the right times is challenge for me. I have been so used to eating so sporadically over the past couple of years, skipping many meals, and eating at the wrong times (late night snacker). I find it challenging to put my food intake on a schedule, but I am sure it will get easier as I move forward with my 84 days.
I do have to admit that I miss Ketchup and Dressing, but not having it in the house makes it easier not to cheat.
Workout: What I really wanted to do today was to stay home and nurture my aching body from the last two days of bootcamp, but I still got out the door, and made to to Legacy Fit for the 6:30pm class. I made it through about 45min of the class before my legs gave up on me. I was initially planning on going out with some friends tonight - but I am not sure I will be able to stay up past 9pm.
This weekend is filled with work, kids birthday parties and my son’s Kindergarden graduation party, so I will be in full swing with the wife tomorrow morning to get all the food prepped for the rest of the weekend, so I can’t make any excuses. That is if I can get out of bed tomorrow :)
Love Life. Do Good. Live Well.
It was not that bad but i am a little tired from yesterdays boot camp. If it was up to me, I would go once every other day but then i look at myself and say, yeah right, i need to go twice a day if i want to have my old body back. So I will be there again today and will enjoy every minute of it. talk to you all later. maybe, if I am still alive after boot camp.

I learned that the hard way last week. My wife took her first business trip out of town since I started my 84 days, and I had not prepared. The fridge was not stocked, no pre-cooked meals, and trying to balance being home alone with our son, and still figuring out how to get my workouts in did not go well. Yes, I fell of the wagon and I admit it.
Today was my first day back on diet and back at the gym after a week of not going to boot camp and missing another few days because I was sick, and let me tell you, it was hard!!! After my first try, I am now determined to I stick to it for the next 84 days and prove to myself that I can do this.
Had a nice big salad for dinner with chicken and no dressing, and water, water, water.
Tomorrow will be day 2 of 84…the fridge will be stocked again, and the wife and I will be spending some time this weekend preparing my meals for next week.
Well, thats all for tonight because I am tired as hell so good night every one.
no more excuses…
for years i have used the screw in my right foot as an excuse not to work out or run or anything. Its time for me to stop making excuses.
